ALI. K
is a dynamic vocalist with expertise in classical, gospel, jazz, and contemporary music. Originally from Trinidad, Ali.’s early training in music theory, flute, drums, and steel-pan laid the foundation for her impressive career in New York, where she quickly distinguished herself as a principal soprano in both academic and ecclesiastical choirs.
Ali. has performed at prestigious events, including the New York All-City High School Chorus, the Christmas at Gracie Mansion for the Mayor, and McDonald's Gospelfest. During her studies at SUNY Fredonia, she was cast in Magic Flute and led several student productions. As a former member of several gospel quartets and groups, Ali. performed at significant venues such as the EEOC Annual Breakfast and recorded in New York City and Richmond, VA.
ali.’s versatility was further showcased through her performances at The Nuyorican Poets Café, Uptown Jimmy’s Café, the Iguana and many others in NYC. Her professional training at Susan Eichhorn Studios in New York solidified her reputation as a skilled and accomplished vocalist.
Despite her early success, ali. k had stepped away from music, feeling the weight of personal responsibilities. However, driven by a deep passion for her craft, she finds the courage to return to the stage. This personal journey leads her back to her homeland of Trinidad, where she is rediscovering her musical and cultural roots. The experience reinvigorates her artistry, infusing her performances with new depth and authenticity.
